2022 Annual Report

Vision

What’s Next in 2023

As we head into a new year, we are excited by all the opportunities and growth that 2023 represents. Our 2023 Chairman of the Board, John Keeton, has ambitious plans for the organization. This year, we plan to create more opportunities for interaction and engagement across all levels of our organization, including our alumni, under the leadership of our 2023 Alumni Association President Lauren Cornell. We will do so by engaging members to participate in programming, deliver high quality in-person and virtual events, and connect with our audience via social media and digital platforms.

We are excited to be back in San Antonio for our annual Induction Dinner and Ceremony which will take place on November 2, 2023. We are excited to induct a new cohort of Legends into the Hall of Fame. We will also soon begin the application and interview process for the Future Texas Business Legend Awards, which identifies the top scholars, veterans, and innovators across the state. This presents the opportunity for us to engage our stakeholders in the inductee selection and awardee processes. We are also extremely proud to announce that we have received funding for a new scholar award, The Shaun D. Kennedy Award for Excellence in Empathy & Innovation, the first of its kind to specifically honor an entrepreneur who is building a company focused on solutions for those with physical and/or developmental disabilities.

Lastly, we want to ensure that our organization serves as a platform to promote the successes and wins of our members. By promoting our members, their businesses, and philanthropic contributions to our great state, we are embodying our mission to celebrate Texas entrepreneurship at its finest.

We have ambitious goals for 2023, but with the support our network, the dedication of our Directors, and the passion of our Alumni, we are confident that this year will be one of the organization’s greatest yet.
