Peter J. Holt is the third member of the Holt family to serve as Chairman and Managing Partner of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs – part of Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) continuing the family’s 29-year leadership of the organization. He also serves as CEO and General Manager of HOLT Group, a values-based, family-owned company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. HOLT Group is a diverse enterprise serving the industrial world through companies including HOLT CAT, Texas First Rentals, and HOLT Truck Centers.

A fifth-generation leader of the Holt family business, Holt is the great-great-grandson of Benjamin Holt, who introduced the first practical track-type tractor in 1904. That legacy of innovation and service continues through his leadership across industrial, sports, and investment platforms. In addition to his work at HOLT Group and SS&E, he is Co-Founder and General Partner of Ironspring, an Austin-based, network-driven venture capital firm focused on digital industrial innovation.

Committed to community impact, Holt is actively engaged in education and efforts to reduce generational poverty. He serves as co-chair of Early Matters San Antonio, an organization he co-founded to ensure all children have access to high-quality early learning and development. His leadership was instrumental in the relocation and construction of the Pre-K 4 SA South campus, made possible in part through the donation of eight acres of land adjacent to HOLT Group headquarters — expanding access to early learning on San Antonio’s South Side.

Appointed by Governor Abbott as chair of the Task Force on Early Childhood Education and Care, Holt works to improve the quality, access, and affordability of childcare for families across Texas. He also serves on the board of directors for Alamo Trust, reflecting a broader commitment to education and community well-being throughout the region.

Peter resides in San Antonio with his wife, Lauren Kate, and their four children.
