Tony is an audit partner in Deloitte’s Houston office. He has approximately 30 years of experience with extensive background serving many large SEC clients. During his career he has held various leadership roles at Deloitte including the Audit and Assurance Chief Inclusion Officer, Houston and New Orleans Office Audit Leader and Audit and Assurance Pro Bono Services Lead. He also was a member of the AICPA National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion for a number of years. He is currently the Houston Group Partner in Charge (includes Denver, New Orleans, Houston and Oklahoma). In 2009, Tony was recognized as one of the top business leaders by Ingram’s Magazine after being selected as a winner in the 40 Under Forty program.
Tony has a diverse portfolio of client experiences in industries such as retail, real estate, consumer services, consumer products, manufacturing and technology. Tony specializes in the audit of consolidated financial statements, and he has a strong working knowledge of accounting and reporting issues with SEC registrants, including accounting, reporting, internal controls, and corporate governance. His experience includes merger and acquisition due diligence; initial public offerings; secondary offerings of common stock and debt offerings, as well as partnering with subject matter experts for Board and Audit Committee presentations involving the role of China in retail, enterprise risk management, economic and tax/regulatory matters, and the impact of water on business strategy.
