Ken Fisher founded Fisher Investments in 1979 and now serves as Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Fisher Investments and its subsidiaries manage over $300 billion in assets for individual and institutional investors globally and maintains three principal business units: Fisher Investments Institutional Group, Fisher Investments Private Client Group, and Fisher Investments Private Client Group International.
Fisher has shared his approach to wealth management and expertise in numerous publications and media outlets. Fisher’s Forbes “Portfolio Strategy” column ran from 1984 to 2017, making him the longest continuously-running columnist in the magazine’s history. Fisher is now known for writing monthly, native language columns in U.S. and international outlets and has authored eleven books on investing, including four New York Times bestsellers. Investment Advisor recognized Fisher as one of 30 of the most influential people in the investment advisory business over the last 30 years. Today, Fisher appears regularly on financial and news media segments globally—including Fox News, Fox Business, Sky News (UK and Australia), Bloomberg (Canada and Asia), and CNN International.
Mr. Fisher is passionate about supporting conservation and human health research. Both individually and through the Fisher Global Foundation, Fisher and his wife, Sherrilyn, have supported various scientific initiatives, including endowing the Kenneth L. Fisher Chair in Redwood Forest Ecology at Humboldt State to support graduate students, laboratories, and field equipment related to canopy research. The Fishers also funded the Sherrilyn and Ken Fisher Center for Environmental Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University. In addition to scientific research, Fisher has dedicated his philanthropy to supporting community-based initiatives related to first responders, early learning, and reading programs in communities and schools across the United States.
