Sonia Kirkpatrick




Sonia Kirkpatrick is the founder and CEO of PediaPlex LLC, “an all-inclusive diagnostic and therapeutic clinic offering speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy and ABA therapy.” Their mission is to help children and families affected by a variety of disorders, including ADHD, autism, and communication, sensory-motor, and learning disabilities. With centers around the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Kirkpatrick has created “a supportive community for children on the autism spectrum and their families.”

She began her career as a tax accountant, controller, CFO and eventually the Global Strategy and Excellence Director for Nokia Siemens Networks. While completing her MBA she developed the vision for PediaPlex based on her personal journey of having a child with autism. She entered her idea into a business plan competition at the University of Dallas where she was a winner. Upon graduation she fine-tuned her business plan, recruited a team of first-class professionals, and opened the first of her three clinics in 2012. Sonia now employs150 employees across Dallas/Fort Worth.

Sonia Kirkpatrick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and an MBA in Global Business from the University of Dallas. Sonia was a collegiate winner of the Texas Business Hall of Fame scholarship in 2011. The University of Dallas awarded her the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2013 and inducted her into the Gupta College of Business Hall of Fame in 2020. A frequent panelist and speaker, Sonia is active in her community where she serves on several community boards.
