Peggy Walker




Peggy Walker is a Managing Director and Private Client Manager at Bank of America Private Bank with more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. She works with nonprofit organizations, private foundations, high net worth individuals and multigenerational families to address the various aspects of their financial needs.

Prior to joining the Private Bank in 1998, Peggy held the position of Global Corporate Affirmative Action Manager for Bank of America, and spent more than a decade in senior human resources roles within the company. Early in her Bank of America career, she spent seven years with the Energy Banking Group.

She earned a B.A. from The University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, and also holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation.

Peggy currently serves on the executive committee and board of trustees of The Witte Museum as past board chair and Endowment Campaign Chair. She is a member of the executive committee of United Way of San Antonio board of trustees, where she chairs the Successful Students Impact Council; a member of the University of Texas – San Antonio School of Science Advisory Council; and serves on the board of The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation.

Peggy is a member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio, the Charity Ball Association, the Battle of Flowers Association, the American Red Cross planned giving committee, the San Antonio Planned Giving Council, and the San Antonio Estate Planners Council. The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce 2015 “Tribute to Women Business Leaders” recognized Peggy with the Hope Award for Volunteerism. She was also named a 2015 “Global Volunteer Award Winner” by Bank of America Corporation. Prior board chair roles include Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, San Antonio Youth Literacy, the San Antonio Education Partnership and the American Institute of Banking – San Antonio.
