Harriet Marmon Helmle, CPA, is the Director of Client Relations for Covenant, a San Antonio based Wealth Management and Financial Planning firm since 2010.  Prior to Covenant, Harriet was a Senior Vice President for Frost Wealth Management Services.  She was at Frost for 13 years.  Before Frost, she was the only female CEO of a financial services firm in San Antonio. Prior to that. Harriet worked for Price Waterhouse and has over 12 years’ experience in public practice with the Big Four public accounting firms and over 39 years’ experience in industry.

Harriet is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and John Marshall High School in San Antonio.  In addition, she attended UTSA for post-graduate courses.

Harriet is widely recognized in San Antonio as the founder of San Antonio Youth Literacy, better known as SAYL.  Founded in 1983, SAYL was the catalyst in San Antonio for many of the “in school” mentoring programs.  SAYL has received both state and national recognition as a model program for business/school partnerships.  The organization continues today as one of the only literacy programs in San Antonio for “in school” children.  Harriet was also responsible for bringing to San Antonio, Communities In Schools (CIS), Girl’s Inc. and the San Antonio Education Partnership.  In 2016, Covenant asked Harriet to develop a San Antonio Affiliate for Social Venture Partners (SVPSA).  SVPSA is a nonprofit organization started in Seattle 20+ years ago.  The purpose of SVPSA is to support non-profit organizations in the Bexar County area by providing consulting services in addition to some funding with the emphasis on the consulting.  The intent is to find innovative non-profits with the desire to build capacity and improve the lives and opportunities for the youth and children of Bexar County.
